Can you attach the full bootlog in a text file? That error is standard for kernel couldn't find root filesystem. Jonathan Cormier

This is normal. As far as I'm aware the 3.1 kernel was never updated to initiate the HDMI chip and relied on u-boot ... Jonathan Cormier
