USB Drivers¶
USB Drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.0 are provided in the MityViewer installation packages 2.6.4 and higher. Both 32 bit and 64 bit OS versions are supported.
With new releases Windows XP and Vista are no longer supported. If you require drivers for these operating systems, please contact Critical Link.
Following installation of the MityViewer application, the drivers may be located here (assuming the default installation location):
c:\program files (x64)\Critical Link\MityViewer\drivers\HS-USB
Uninstalling Older Drivers¶
If you are advancing to the newer driver packages from legacy software, you may need to uninstall the older driver packages manually if you had installed previous versions of the driver.
- disconnect all attached devices, shut down all software using them.
- start a windows command shell.
- set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
- devmgmt.msc
- View->Show Hidden Device
- Under Unversal Serial Bus Controllers, find any drivers named "Scientific Camera Driver" and "Scientific Camera Loader" and uninstall them (select, right click, uninstall checking the delete drivers checkbox).
If you need assistance removing the old drivers, please contact Critical Link.
After uninstalling the older drivers, you should be able to install the newer ones by running the MityViewer installation package or having windows driver installer locate the path in the driver installation dialog.
