Connector Information¶

Both the MitySOM-A5E and the MitySOM-A5E Mini leverage the same connector part for the electrical interface, the samtec SEAF-50-05.0-S-08-2-A-K-TR. The MitySOM-A5E utilizes two of these connectors, while the MitySOM-A5E Mini utilizes one of these connectors.

The connectors for the carrier card must be the male version of this connector. There are a couple of stacking heights available for the connector from samtec:

• SEAM-50-02.0-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 7 mm stack height
• SEAM-50-03.0-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 8 mm stack height
• SEAM-50-03.5-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 8.5 mm stack height
• SEAM-50-06.5-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 11.4 mm stack height
• SEAM-50-07.0-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 12 mm stack height
• SEAM-50-09.0-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 14 mm stack height
• SEAM-50-11.0-L-08-2-A-K-TR - total of 15 mm stack height

The MitySOM-A5E and MitySOM-A5E Mini Development Kit Carrier cards both utilize the SEAM-50-02.0-L-08-2-A-K-TR connector.
