MityCAM-B1910 Firmware¶
This page documents the firmware revisions of the MityCAM-B1910 camera firwmare. Currently, the same firmware is loaded on all cameras with the B1910 sensor, regardless of back-end interface (cameralink vs. gigabit ethernet).
In general, Critical Link does not recommend upgrading firmware unless there is a specific feature that has been added or performance issue resolved that you require. See MityCAM Firmware Upgrade Procedure (P-10218) for detailed instructions for firmware upgrades. Failure to install compatible firmware or to properly follow the installation procedure may leave the camera in an unusable state and may possibly damage the unit. If you unsure or have any questions about the upgrade, please contact your Critical Link representative prior to starting the upgrade procedure.

40-000065-4 [2016-08-11]¶
Change Log¶
Please see updated user manuals for information about newly added features.
The following toolchain was used to build the firmware.
- FPGA built with Quartus 14.1
- ARM software build with DS-5 tools provided with Quartus 14.1
Added Features¶
- GigE - GigE Vision compliance tested. x8, x16, x12packed and x12p modes supported.
- Camera Link - CC1 can be used as an external trigger input. [8934]
- Added support for simple edge detection mode and noise reduction mode for demonstration purposes. [8168]
- Simplified factory configuration and software updates using a web based interface. [7924]
- Use separate device tree structures for GigE vs. Camera Link Configurations. [8207]
Bugs Fixed¶
- Camera Link - DVAL is properly asserted for Base mode camera link. [8340]
- Gigabit Ethernet - If an ethernet cable was not connected at startup, DHCP would not find an address and quietly exit. Update network settings when cable is plugged in. [8207]
- Gigabit Ethernet - At high temperatures, network comms can drop. Optimized RGMII skew timings to provide more robust performance. [8507]
Known Issues¶
- GigE - ROI is not configurable via the SFNC register set; this register is currently a Read-only representation of the image size that will be received after binning operations.
- Camera Link - <GCLK> initially reports "283" even though the starting frequency is 200 MHz; work around is to <SCLK 200> first then check <GCLK> [9124]

Change Log¶
Please see updated user manuals for information about newly added features.
The following toolchain was used to build the firmware.
- FPGA built with Quartus 14.1
- ARM software build with DS-5 tools provided with Quartus 14.1
Added Features¶
- Ability to configure network addresses has been added. [7536]
- External trigger support for Global and Rolling Shutter has been added. [7626]
- A web based interface that supports upgrading firmware has been added. [7628]
- MityViewer test pattern selection [7798]
Bugs Fixed¶
- There was a problem configuring / enabling the expose output strobe from the MityViewer tool. This has been resolved. [7571]
- A 20 count bias while outputting uncalibrated data was removed. [7630]
- The start row was fixed at zero regardless of what was commanded in the ROI feature. This has been corrected to allow any starting row. [7661]
- Requesting a frame interval time after configuring external trigger could result in a different exposure interval. This has been resolved. [7697]
- The Camera / Mityviewer could hang on remaining frames if a fixed transfer of non-multiples of 10 or odd number of frames were requested. This has been resolved. [7710]
Known Issues¶
- DVAL is not driven correctly for Base mode camera link. If the frame grabber supports ignoring DVAL, it can be used to work around this problem.
40-000065-1 [2015-01-20]¶
This is an initial release of the MityCAM-B1910 firmware. Supported features include Rolling and Global shutter modes of operation for both camera link and gigabit ethernet links.
