Downloading and Installing the Virtual Machine?

Added by B.J. Buchalter over 12 years ago

Hi Folks,

The Wiki says the current version of the VM appliance can be downloaded, but I can't find a download link. Does one exist?

I have the VM from the DVD that came with my board (dated Monday, April 11, 2011 9:10 AM). Is this the newest one, or should I be using something newer?

If this is the newest VM, what do I need to do to update the bits to the current SDK?

TIA,

B.J.

I think there is a link to the VM appliance, I'll try to get someone to post that for you.

There is a newer image, but it simply has the newer MDK images and toolchains installed as well as support for the MityARM-335X (Cortex-A8 product). If you go to these two pages and install the newer packages per the instructions you'll pretty much have what is on the updated image:

You should use consistent toolchains and Board Support Packages.

Many folks also track our kernel and u-boot trees to examine the baseboard examples made to support the MityDSP-L138F specific boards in between releases.

Hope this helps.

The Wiki page (http://support.criticallink.com/redmine/projects/arm9-platforms/wiki/Linux_Build_VM) has been updated with a link to download the Virtual Machine. Please be advised that the image is large so download times will be lengthy.
