Function of pin 46
Added by Malcolm Hartnell over 9 years ago
In the document MitySOM-5CSX-Carrier-Board-Design-Guide.pdf (March 31st 2015) on page 10, pin 46 of the SoM is described as GND.
On the schematic on page 20, pin 46 is connected to a signal labelled +VIO_ENABLE_2V5.
Is there a complete description of the function of pin 46 available?
Thanks,
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
Thank you for the question! This is an error in the table - the connection is +VIO_ENABLE_2V5 as noted in the schematic sheet. There are references to this pin's functionality in the Power Sequencing section under Electrical Requirements and Schematic Guidelines. This is simply an output connected to the internal +2.5V power supply rail intended for sequencing the VIO power supplies on the carrier board. With these VIO rails sequenced to power up after the core voltage, there is some reduction in the current requirements at startup.
We will update the guide to correct this mistake.
Thanks,
Adam
